Chris serves as President of SDEA. Chris came to SDEA after spending many years in the financial services industry where she where she held a wide spectrum of leadership roles in Sales, Marketing, Human Resources, Lending and Administration at the local, statewide, and national levels.
Chris volunteers with a number of organizations and is known for her commitment to the San Diego community. She serves as the Treasurer for Rest Haven’s Children’s Health Fund, is a member of Executive Committee for the Executives Association of San Diego, a member of Rotary Club 33 and a Finance Committee Member for the Council of Community Clinics. Chris is also a graduate of LEAD San Diego.
Outside of SDEA, Chris’s main joy is spending time with husband Bill and her son Spenser.
Director of HR Services
Jennifer serves as Director of HR Services. During her 25 years with SDEA, Jennifer has received Human Resource industry awards and is considered an expert in the field of Human Resources. Jennifer conducts Human Resources audits, drafts and reviews employee handbooks, and provides input and assistance with employment-related issues. She conducts training on the subjects of employment law, AB1825 harassment training, exempt and non-exempt status, independent contractors, and handbook policies. Jennifer is certified as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) nationally and with the state of California, through the Human Resources Certificate Institute. She also received a Human Resources certification through the College of Extended Studies through the University of California San Diego.
Jennifer is a long-standing member of both the national and local chapters of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
Human Resources Consultant
Calista serves as Human Resources Consultant with SDEA. Having held the CHRO positions at two of San Diego’s largest non-profits she has over 30 years of human resources experience. She was named HR Professional of the Year by the San Diego Business Journal and under her leadership was responsible for one organization receiving the SHRM Crystal Award for work place excellence. Calista is a graduate of Arizona State University and holds the UCSD Human Resources Management Certification.
Knowledgeable in all areas of human resources, Calista is a dynamic facilitator recognized for her expertise in employee relations and conflict resolution.
Rudy serves as the Human Resources & Member Affairs Liaison with SDEA. He moved from South Gate, California to San Diego to become the first in his family to attend college. He graduated from San Diego State University with degrees in Finance and Public Administration and a minor in International Conflict Resolution.
Rudy began his career at San Diego National Bank, where he worked as a Junior Staff Accountant before being promoted rapidly to the position of Business Development Officer. He also has extensive experience in the Staffing and Recruiting industry. In January 2003 and again in March 2005, Rudy was elected as the Treasurer of the City of South Gate.
In his position at SDEA, Rudy intends to foster partnerships between SDEA and its membership and further spread SDEA’s reputation in San Diego and all of Southern California as the go-to place for affordable, expert HR advice and professional development training.
AnnaMarie serves as the Marketing Coordinator with SDEA. She is a graduate of Point Loma Nazarene University and holds a B.A. degree in Literature. As a small town, north state transplant to southern California, she enjoys exploring the diversity and wide range of opportunities and activities that San Diego has to offer.
Member Services Coordinator
David serves as the Member Services Coordinator. He has provided administrative support at a corporate and small business level. He is currently enrolled at San Diego Miramar College and plans to get a degree in Engineering. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, ceramics and music.
