SDEA Labor Relations and Contract Negotiations

Our roots lay firmly planted in the realm of labor relations. Since its establishment in 1914, SDEA has represented and advised union employers in collective bargaining negotiations, labor grievances and arbitrations, organizational campaigns, defending unfair labor practice charges and related matters.

SDEA’s Labor Relations Department is spearheaded by former SDEA Executive Director Tom Puffer and General Counsel Michael M. Daly. Mr. Puffer and Mr. Daly have advised and served as chief negotiator for management on hundreds of labor contracts in Southern California with a combined 60 years of experience in industrial relations.

SDEA’s representative client list includes the San Diego Zoological Society, San Diego Blood Bank, ALSCO, Home of Guiding Hands, American Waste Transport, Inc, Morse Signal, Coke-a-Cola, Pepsi, Seven Up, Rainbow Municipal Water District, Greenwood Memorial Park and Mortuary and Wholesome Bakery.
