The goal of SDEA's program is to provide professional certification to individuals
who are learning on the job, but have not had the benefit of formal preparation or training.
The courses included in this HR Certificate program are conducted by top human resources practitioners and are tailored towards practical job-related situations which are universal to organizations of all industries and sizes

The HR Certificate program at SDEA is comprised of nine (9) required courses
and three (3) additional electives, each of which covers major topics professionals in the human resources field encounter on a regular basis. Our required courses delve into the primary areas of professional development in HR, including leadership, employment law, and compensation and benefits. Our list of elective courses is varied to allow students to select the topics of study they feel will be most valuable to them in their roles within their specific organization.

Registration in the Human Resources Certificate program for SDEA members requires a $100 application fee. The Non-member fee is $150. This fee covers administrative costs and the final exam. Courses are paid for individually as students register for and take each one. Classes taken up to six (6) months prior to registration in the certificate program can be counted towards the program. Students should complete the twelve (12) courses within two (2) years of registration. All classes must be completed before the final will be offered.
