The HR Certificate program at SDEA is comprised of nine (9) required courses and three (3) additional electives, each of which covers major topics professionals in the human resources field encounter on a regular basis. Our required courses delve into the primary areas of professional development in HR, including leadership, employment law, and compensation and benefits. Our list of elective courses is varied to allow students to select the topics of study they feel will be most valuable to them in their roles within their specific organization.

The Supervisory Skills Certificate Program has been developed to help new managers and supervisors learn and apply good management principles in their work groups. Using a variety of proven instructional techniques, this twelve-course series builds the essential knowledge and skill that supervisors and managers must possess to be successful both in today’s workplace and in the future. Discussion and exercises are geared for leaders in any stage of their careers - from the new supervisor who needs a basic foundation to the tenured manager who simply needs a refresher. SDEA welcomes hundreds of participants through this workshop series annually. We recognize success by the repeat business of companies sending leaders through the program.
