Human Resource Audits
The strategic business planning process involves identifying an organization’s long-range goals and developing a strategy or action plan to meet those goals. Many companies are recognizing the need to examine their operations as a first step in aligning the HR functions to support and meet business plans.

Companies may find it useful to perform an “audit” of the HR function. By conducting a comprehensive audit of its human resources practices and their effects, an employer can respond to workers’ concerns and head off potential liability. Recent court cases have seen employers successfully defend themselves by pointing to preventive measure that they have taken in the area of the accusation. An HR audit is an excellent piece of proof to show your company is meeting this burden. HR audits can also address problems over working conditions and can ensure that employer policies are being applied evenly to all employees.
